About the Dance Art Project Japan Project
2017 marks the 45th anniversary of the sister city relations between Chiba-City Japan and Houston. To honor its relationship through my passion to connect artists and educators with Houston community, a group of us came together to create Dance Japan Project.
The goal of the project is to strengthen cultural ties between Houston and Japan through art, and to educate the next generation of ballet dancers. In conjunction with the performances, we will hold a 3-day ballet workshop where Houston Ballet dancers will teach classes for aspiring ballet dancers.
In order to complete the journey, we would like to ask for your support. Dance Art Project Japan, will hold a fundraiser on Saturday, April 29th, 2017 at VAULT Houston inside Spring Street Studios at 7:00p.m. The fundraiser will include a wine reception, silent auction, and a sneak peek performance by select cast members.
