Magic in the Park: Patrons For Bellaire Parks 15th Annual Wine and Tapas Gala

Last night, I had the absolute pleasure of performing at the Patrons For Bellaire Parks 15th Annual Wine and Tapas “Magic in the Park” Gala, held on the Great Lawn At Bellaire Town Square. It was an evening of elegance, energy, and enchantment—and I was honored to bring the Magic to the heart of it all.

The evening began with a bold and theatrical introduction from Bellaire Mayor Gus Pappas, who proved himself to be quite the showman. With flair and charm, he welcomed the crowd and amped up the excitement before I took the stage. Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better hype man.

I kicked off the evening with a full Standup Magic Show featuring some of my signature routines:

  • The Invisible Deck, where a freely named card appears in the only impossible position it could.

  • My atmospheric, tech-enhanced Smoke Break routine – where signed cards vanish in a puff of smoke and appear in another (and yes, the smoke was real).

  • And the showstopper: Lego Bob’s Revenge, a mind-bending piece of digital sorcery where a tiny Lego figure “hacks” into the phones of everyone in the audience. The stunned faces—and sudden screen takeovers—spoke for themselves.

After the Standup Show, I shifted gears and moved into walk-around magic, performing close-up miracles for guests as they sipped wine and sampled the evening’s incredible tapas. I brought cards to life, predicted thoughts, and created impossible moments inches from people’s faces. That’s the kind of magic that sticks with you.

Cloe and Jack were so much fun as they held me at gunpoint as I was leaving and forced me to do more magic…

It’s always a thrill performing as a magician in Houston, but this night was something special. The combination of community, cause, and celebration made the “Magic in the Park” theme feel completely alive—and I was proud to help bring that magic to life.

To the amazing folks at Patrons For Bellaire Parks, to the incredible audience, and especially to Johnnie Fraizier – thank you for making this such a memorable evening.

If you’re planning a gala, fundraiser, or private party and want to bring in a magician in Houston who knock it outta the park (yeah thats a pun right there) – let’s make some magic.

✨ Until next time,

Danger
